From a young age, I knew working with animals was more than just a dream—it was my calling. Inspired by role models like Steve Irwin and Dr. Fitzgerald from Animal Planet ER, I set my sights on a career in veterinary medicine early on. I pursued my passion at Western, where I studied in the Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) program and proudly graduated in 2009. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to the field, with a particular love for surgery and the many challenges and rewards that come with it. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, our furry companions, and soaking up nature whenever I can.
Hi, I’m Julia! I’ve been working as a veterinary assistant for 7 years, and I’m on the path to vet school with hopes of starting by 2027. I’m passionate about animal care and working toward my career as a veterinarian. Outside of work and studying, you’ll find me enjoying tropical vacations, soaking up the beach vibes, hiking through nature, or unwinding with a good movie or show.
