While anesthesia-free dental cleaning has many advantages, not all pets are good subjects for non-anesthetic procedures. Some examples of pets who would not be good candidates for this procedure are pets who need extractions, currently have a painful mouth, cannot do x-rays, aggressive pets, and pets with severe cardiac conditions.
